Grid view control

This article describes all the settings in the grid view

Header

Root Entity Property Path: The property path of the root entity of the grid. Has to be connected to the root entity of the view.

Global property path: If the view has no root entity the user can select a Global Property Path from the entire datamodell. This will list all the data in that entity.

CSS Class: Define a specific CSS Class for the grid can be used together with theming. Theming

General Tab

Allow Edit: Enable possibility edit certain columns. Is used together with the allow edit toggle on each column.

Allow User Sorting: Is used to activate possibility for user sorting in the grid.

Show Selection Column: Enable the possibility to choose rows with a separate Selection Column in the Grid.

Multi Row Selection: Enable possibility to select several rows by CTRL-clicking in the grid

Show Filter Row: Enable filter row which let’s the user filter in the grid.

Show Customization Row: Enable so the customization row is always active in the grid. Otherwise the user has to right click to see the customization row.

Enable Responsive Mode:

Groups Are Initially Expanded: If the grid is grouped all the groups are expanded when opening the grid view.

Automatic Row Height: Height is automatically adjusted

Automatic Column Width: Width is automatically adjusted

Show Borders: Borders are shown in the grid design.

Show Column lines: Enable so the column lines are shown in the design of the grid.

Alternating row color: Enable alternating row color in the grid design

Enable paging: Enables paging and can be used together with Page Size

Page size: Set the amount of rows for each page when paging is enabled.

Single Click Workflow: Set workflow is ran when user single click a row in the grid.

Double Click Workflow: Set workflow is ran when user double-clicks a row in the grid.

Row Selected Workflow: Set workflow is ran when user selects a row in the grid.

Tool Tip Workflow: Set workflow that runs for Tool Tips

Grid view column designer

Caption: Set custom caption

Field Name: Selected field for this column

Visible Criteria: Possible to add critiera for when column is visible

Display format: Display format for column. See Format Specifiers | WinForms Controls | DevExpress Documentation

Allow edit: Allow edit for column.

Allow selection: Allow selection for column

Use cell mergin: 

Double Click Workflow: Workflow that is run when you double-click column
