Delete entity activity (how-to)

This article describes how to use the delete entity activity. In this case we create a workflow that deletes a customer after a verification message box.

Instructions

1. Create a new workflow and name it Contact Delete and set Contact as root entity

   

    

    

2. Drag-and-drop the Show message box activity to your start activity and double-click it to set it. Write in a name, title, and select Yes/No buttons to display to the user in the message box.

   

    

    

3. Add the delete entity activity to the drop target Yes on the show message box activity.
   
   

   

    

    

4. Double-click the branch leading into the Delete entity activity. Bind the value root entity data as parameter to the delete entity activity. Note: Find the root entity in the source step start!

   

   
   
   

    

5. Add a cancel workflow activity to the drop target No on the show message box activity.

   

6. Add a commit context activity after the Delete entity activity

   

7. Press new Command and change display name to delete

   

    

8. Press Save or Ctrl-S
